I've performed namings for so many children Australia wide offering a range of ceremony types including a choice of certificates for your child & Godparents / guardians. We welcome that bundle of joy into the loving embrace of your family & friends celebrating the special gift they are to you. You receive a beautiful keepsake copy of the personalised ceremony. Namings or namegivings can be combined with their birthday or your wedding celebrations and are similar to a christening with or without the religious elements, the choice is yours.
Having previously worked with children in Preschool & Year 1, I love interacting with the little people who share our world and being a Grandmother, I know it's such a special time celebrating the joy babies bring to everyone. Naming ceremonies can include a tree planting, wishing stones, time capsule / treasure chest, money tree, candle lighting, a butterfly release or showering your little one with petals. You're only limited by your imagination, what suits them and their personality. As a celebrant for over 20 years, I'm so lucky in sharing a family's story officiating their child's naming and then asked to officiate their wedding in the case of the photos below or the other way 'round - either way, it's pretty darned special!
